The establishment of two funds reflects our active engagement in supporting companies in our focus sectors. In certain cases, CBHH has also directly invested its partnership capital alongside clients.
Infrastructure
In 2017, Cameron Barney and Infracapital established the Digital Infrastructure Investment Partnership (“DIIP”) to invest in fibre broadband infrastructure across the UK.
HM Treasury and the Infracapital Greenfield Fund allocated a substantial investment to this strategy.
This partnership is having a nationwide impact on the lives of individuals and businesses in the UK by making fibre broadband more accessible than ever before.
Technology
In the technology area, we established Encore Ventures in partnership with DFJ Esprit (now Molten Ventures) to acquire a portfolio of more than 20 venture investments from 3i in 2009 and realised their successful exits for the portfolio companies over the following 5 years.
