November 2020

Cameron Barney acted as exclusive financial adviser to Wifinity.

Cameron Barney LLP is pleased to announce that it acted as exclusive financial adviser to Wifinity Ltd. (“Wifinity”) in obtaining a senior secured term loan from funds managed by Digital Colony. The purpose of the loan was to refinance existing bank lending, provide additional growth capital and fund the acquisition of Optify from PCCW Global.

We were impressed by the terms as well as the speed and efficiency with which we were able to conclude this debt financing and we very much enjoyed working with the entire Cameron Barney team.
— Costas Demetriou, CFO, Wifinity

Wifinity builds and operates campus and MDU broadbands networks throughout the UK and is best known for its services to the public sector, MOD and holiday parks. The acquisition of Optify and Mediaforce extends Wifinity’s activities with the MoD, student accommodation and MDU arenas.

Charles Cameron, Partner of Cameron Barney, commented: “We are delighted to have advised Wifinity on this transaction. Work on this project began in 2017, so it is a pleasure to have been able to assist the Wifinity team in achieving this objective.”
